Hello everyone, In today’s PBL lesson, the children learned about the variety of animal life that can be in the ocean. They watched a short presentation about sea creatures and we discussed the shapes and sizes of each. The children played a guessing and match sea creatures game, matched creatures to their shadows and identified odd ones out from a row of sea life. In phonics, the children learned the letter Xx. They identified the letter in upper and lowercase, learned vocabulary containing the letter and used the letter’s sound to blend this week’s CVC words. (fox, fix, mix and six). In STEM class, the children learned about the steps involved in planting a seed. The children then carried out these steps outside with the seeds they extracted from fruit last week. First they dug a hole, then they planted the seed, covered it with soil, watered it and placed it in the sunshine. In Chinese class, the children sequenced numbers 1 to 15. They placed these numbers in order underneath a row of ocean creatures and items. Then, they completed a missing number worksheet where they were able to practice their numeral formations as well as consolidate their knowledge of the number sequences. 今天的中文数学课，我们结合海洋主题进行了15以内数字认知和数序的巩固。结合海洋主题我们假装在海边“钓鱼”，孩子们一起观察钓起来的“鱼”并讨论：哪一条是最先钓起来的？哪条第二？哪条第三？孩子们积极参与给鱼排列顺序，并清楚地数出每条鱼的序号，在趣味性的游戏中对数字的前后关系有了更直观的理解，进一步巩固了15以内数字的顺序和位置概念。随后，孩子们进行了纸上作业，她们需要完成4条15以内的数列，每条数列中都有一些缺失的数字。孩子们需要仔细观察，将正确的数字填写在空白处（部分孩子书写还有难度，我们提供了数字贴纸，他们可以通过粘贴的方式完成数列排序）。整个过程孩子们都很专注，大部分孩子都能独立或借助贴纸正确完成练习，进一步强化了对数字顺序的掌握和数感能力。 Daily Menu Moments

Hello everyone, In today’s PBL lesson, the children continued to explore the depths of the ocean and what is down in the deep blue sea. Each child made their own mini sea bottle to take home. They added oil, water, food coloring, shells and a sea creature to their bottles and described what they could they were adding. In phonics, the children reviewed the high-frequency words that they’ve been learning and tried reading some simple phrases. These phrases can be found in this week’s homework. In PE, the children revisited the key movements that they’ve recently learned including running transitions, two-handed catching, flag pulling techniques and safety rule comprehension.  In Chinese class, the children practiced counting up to 20 objects by collecting shells and placing them into numeral labelled buckets. They additionally completed a counting and numeral writing activity sheet.  Please find this week’s optional homework in the school bags. 今天的数学课上，我们继续巩固20以内的数感，让孩子们通过动手操作，更好地理解数量与数字的对应关系。结合海洋主题，孩子们仿佛来到了沙滩，两人一组兴奋地“捡”起小桶里的贝壳，一边数一边互相帮助，最后找到正确的数字卡片贴在桶上，交给老师验证。这个过程既锻炼了他们的点数能力，也增强了合作意识。随后，孩子们还独立完成了20以内的点数并贴上数字的纸上作业，进一步巩固了所学内容。整节课孩子们都投入其中，在游戏中轻松学习，数感也在不知不觉中得到了提升。 Daily Menu Moments

家长朋友们下午好~ 今天的音乐课围绕《Do Re Mi》展开，孩子们在轻松愉快的氛围中初步认识音阶、唱准音阶。课程以《身体音阶歌》热身开场，孩子们跟着歌词摸摸小脚、拍拍膝盖、叉腰、拍手，每做一个动作就唱出一个对应的音，在游戏中初步感受到了音高变化。随后，老师用“爬楼梯”的比喻，带着孩子们形象地理解了音阶的逐步升高。当老师弹响电子琴时，孩子们认真聆听，并尝试着唱准Do、Re、Mi三个音。在分组演唱环节，孩子们跟着琴声唱出“Do Re Mi”上行和“Mi Re Do”下行，就像在声音的楼梯上轻松地走上走下，在游戏中迈出了探索音阶的第一步。 本周的中文PBL课程在“大浪与小浪”的音乐游戏中拉开序幕，孩子们跟随律动，化身为海面上的朵朵浪花，就此开启了关于海洋的探索之旅。面对这片神秘的蔚蓝世界，孩子们心中充满了好奇，提出了许许多多有趣的问题：“大海为什么是蓝色的？海里真的有美人鱼吗？为什么人不能像鱼一样生活在海里？有的鲨鱼为什么要吃人？”这些问题将串起我们未来六周的学习旅程。在接下来的时间里，孩子们将通过阅读图书、观看视频、动手实验、观察实物以及实地探访海洋馆等方式，一起寻找这些问题的答案，并最终将自己对海底生态与动物的理解，用模型的方式生动地呈现出来。本周作为探索的起点，孩子们通过趣味科普动画，初步了解了大海是怎样形成的，也找到了“大海为什么是蓝色的”这一问题的科学解释。从游戏发问，到观看思考，孩子们已经兴致勃勃地迈出了探索深海奥秘的第一步。 Daily Menu Moments

Hello everybody, In today’s PBL lesson, the children took a dive into the ocean to discover the underwater environment. They discovered what sort of animals can be found in the oceans and seas and the types of habitats that these creatures thrive in. As a large group, the children created their own ocean sensory tray by adding coral, rocks, water and ocean creatures into a sensory container.  In phonics, the children reviewed the high-frequency words learned over past weeks and were introduced to a new word, ‘we.’ They learned to use the word we when talking about oneself and another person or people. The children got into small groups to find a type of food that each member of the group likes and created sentences such as, “We like ice cream.”  In Chinese class, the children continued to practice their counting skills by counting out tang yuan and placing appropriate quantities on paper plates with the corresponding numeral. Additionally, some children counted out bead and placed them onto pipe cleaners. 今天的中文数学课堂变成了热热闹闹的“汤圆店”。有的小朋友当老板，有的当顾客，大家围在一起买汤圆、数汤圆。“老板，我要14个！”“给我来15个！”老板们手忙脚乱地数着碗里的“汤圆”，一边数一边念叨，生怕数错了——给少了顾客不答应，给多了自己又亏本，忙得满头大汗。在买买卖卖中，大家把点数练得可熟练了。另一边，还有一群小朋友在安静地做手工：给数字宝宝们串珠子尾巴。数字是16，就得在扭扭棒上穿16颗珠子；数字是19，就得穿19颗。手上一边穿，嘴里一边数，一串串彩色的珠子串好了，数字宝宝们也都有了一条漂亮的尾巴。真是一堂好玩、有滋有味的数学课！ Daily Menu Moments

家长朋友们元宵节快乐！ 今天的艺术课上，我们一起走进了毕加索的奇妙世界。孩子们初步认识了生活中的立体形状和绘画中的平面形状，发现原来同样的事物可以用不同的方式来表现。接着老师向大家介绍了各种表示五官的图形，然后，每个孩子拿一些表示五官的基本图形，并认真的是给每个图形的边缘描出粗粗的线条，下一节课要怎么组合这些形状呢？孩子们都迫不及待要继续这场艺术探险啦！ 今天的中文课格外热闹，我们一起热热闹闹地庆祝了元宵节。最精彩的要数舞狮表演啦！孩子们轮流披上彩色的狮子道具，顿时变成了一只只活灵活现的小狮子。他们摇头晃脑地走着，有的眨巴着大眼睛，有的调皮地扭动身子，逗得大家哈哈大笑。看着这些”小狮子”在教室里欢腾，真让人忍俊不禁。既然是元宵节，怎么能少得了汤圆呢？孩子们卷起袖子，洗净小手，认真地包起了汤圆。揉面团、包馅料、搓圆球，每一个步骤都做得有模有样。有的小朋友包得圆滚滚的，有的则包出了独特的造型，不过每一个都饱含着他们的用心。到了品尝环节，教室里响起一片”真好吃”的赞叹声，脸上洋溢着满足的笑容。我们还一起制作了精美的灯笼。老师先用剪刀剪出灯笼的轮廓，接着把中间部分镂空，只留下细细的灯笼骨架，然后将骨架贴在透明的不干胶纸上。孩子们拿到后，在镂空处贴上彩色的纸片、羽毛，干花等材料。每一个灯笼都因为孩子们不同的搭配变得独一无二。最后，老师在灯笼内底部装上小彩灯，再挂上流苏—–当灯笼在孩子们手中亮起来的那一刻，温暖的光透过彩色的镂空洒出来，整个教室都变得温馨又美好。今天，孩子们不仅体验了传统习俗，更在欢声笑语中感受了中华文化的魅力。祝大家元宵节快乐，阖家团圆！ Daily Menu Moments

Hello everyone, Happy New Year and welcome back to school! In today’s PBL lesson, the children began their new topic Under the Sea. They learned to identify the sea on a map and categorized animals that live in the sea and those that don’t. The children listened to the story Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea and the song Down in the Deep Blue Sea. They answered simple questions about the setting of the story and the creatures that can be discovered in the depths below. In phonics, the children learned the letter Ww. They identified the letter in upper and lowercase, learned vocabulary beginning with the letter and they used the letter’s sound to blend unfamiliar words (win, wet, wag, web). In STEM class, the children began to learn about plants. Today they focused on seeds and used tweezers to extract seeds from fruits such as dragon fruits and papaya to examine and place in a bag to be planted next week.  As some of you may already be aware, we have had a new child join the group today. Please join us in welcoming Ruicy to the Nursery B class. 今天的中文课变成了一个小剧场。为了更好地理解古诗《登鹳雀楼》，老师和孩子们一起动手布置场景：有楼，有山，还有一条用塑料纸做的大大的黄河。一个孩子举着“太阳”，慢慢往山后落下，演绎“白日依山尽”；旁边的几个孩子抖动着透明的塑料纸，让“黄河”波光粼粼地流向东方。这时，“诗人王之涣”登上了鹳雀楼，他被眼前落日、高山和奔流的黄河迷住了，可还想看更远，于是迈步登上了顶楼—这就是“欲穷千里目，更上一层楼”。站得高了，果然能看到更远的风景。在这热热闹闹的表演里，大家不仅认识了古诗，还学习了“上、下、目、里”这几个汉字。新学期第一天，和这首诗相遇，真好，那就让我们在新的开始一起努力登上更高处吧！ 明天要闹元宵啰！请让您的孩子穿中式或者春节元素服饰来校哦~  谢谢 @所有人   Daily Menu Moments

今天的音乐课上，孩子们体验了打击乐节奏游戏《敲锣打鼓放鞭炮》。课程从讨论春节习俗开始，孩子们兴奋地分享了自己眼中的新年——放鞭炮、贴春联、吃团圆饭。随后，大家跟着老师一起念读童谣：“过新年真热闹，我们一起放鞭炮；小朋友们真快乐，我们一起蹦蹦跳。”朗朗上口的词句配上轻快的节奏，孩子们很快就记住了旋律和节拍。接着，孩子们拿起大鼓和打棒，在音乐中感受十六分音符的跳跃与密集。当唱到“我们一起XXX”时，孩子们要用大鼓敲出“咚咚咚”的节节奏来表达出童谣里做的事，童谣顺势变成了：“过新年真热闹，我们一起（咚咚咚）；小朋友们真快乐，我们一起（咚咚咚）。”孩子们在敲鼓的节奏中欢笑、表达，用身体和鼓点一起演出了一场属于新年的音乐游戏。这堂课不仅让孩子们在敲敲打打中记住了十六分节奏，更在蹦蹦跳跳里感受到了音乐带来的纯粹快乐。今天的中文数学课，我们一起玩了一场图形大冒险。孩子们先从复习形状的特征开始，一边数着三角形有几条边、正方形有几个角，一边用大积木、磁力片和形状模具在纸上描画出各种图形，小手握着笔沿着边缘慢慢走，边描还边喊这条线要直直的才能变成正方形。随后迎来了最兴奋的环节——在透明波波球上画画！每个孩子都小心翼翼地握着笔，在圆鼓鼓的球面上连接点、画出线，把三角形、圆形、正方形一个个变到球上。球面滑滑的、会转动，画起来可比纸上难多了，但孩子们专注极了，一笔一划地连点成线、连线成形。有的孩子还自己组合出形状小人和气球房子。下课的时候，每个孩子都捧着自己画的波波球，小心地装进书包，带回家地不仅是亮晶晶的球，还有她们满满的成就感。 Daily Menu Moments

Hello everyone, In today’s PBL, the children learned about the customs of the Lunar Festival. They listened to the story, Dragons in the City, identified typical festival related objects including decorations, zodiac animals and food. They watched a short clip of a dragon dance and played a card matching game. In phonics, the children reviewed the high-frequency words already taught and made short sentences using the pronouns he and she such as “He is walking” and “She is dancing.” In Chinese class, the children celebrated the Lunar Festival by playing some simple games involving red envelopes (hong bao), played musical instruments and acted out a lion dance, searched for golden treasure in a bed of red rice, ground soy beans into bean liquid. And enjoyed a festive banquet of peanuts, chestnuts, grilled, steamed bread and warm lemon juice.今天真是热热闹闹、年味儿十足的一天！孩子们穿着新年服装来到班级，一下子就把春节的喜庆气氛带满了教室。走进教室的孩子们有的舞狮子，有的磨豆浆，有的敲锣打鼓放鞭炮，还有摇拨浪鼓、甩彩带、数“压岁钱”的……每个角落都是欢声笑语，孩子们玩得那叫一个投入！自由活动后，大家跟着《年来了》的童谣一起比划表演，把年兽的凶猛和小动物的慌张演得活灵活现，可爱极了！紧接着的“吸福”和“抢红包”游戏，更是让气氛一下子紧张又刺激，小嘴小手忙个不停~最后我们围坐成圈开了个温馨的茶话会，喝着清甜的柠檬水，分享昨天亲手做的米花糖、小虎带来的马年糕点、Clara的山楂棒棒糖、Elon的数字饼干……加上老师们准备的花生栗子、现烤年糕和沙糖桔，孩子们小嘴吃得鼓鼓的，吉祥话一句接一句。这一天有玩有吃有笑声，孩子们在热闹中真切地感受到了咱们中国年的传统与趣味，真是开心又充实！ Daily Menu Moments
