Dear Reception Parents,
A very warm welcome to you all. My name is Teacher Sean, and I am very happy to be your child’s foreign teacher this year. I hope you all had a lovely holiday and were able to enjoy some special time together as a family.
As we begin this new year in Reception, I am really looking forward to getting to know your children and supporting them as they settle into our classroom routines, make new friends, and begin their learning journey with us. My hope is that our classroom will be a happy, safe, and encouraging place where the children feel confident to try new things, ask questions, explore, and grow.
This year, we will celebrate each child’s progress, encourage their curiosity, and help them develop greater confidence, independence, and kindness. Every child grows in their own way and at their own pace, and I am looking forward to seeing all the small and big steps they take throughout the year.
Please always feel welcome to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or anything you would like to share. Good communication between home and school makes a big difference, and I am looking forward to working together with you to support your child.
I am very excited for the year ahead and look forward to meeting you all, getting to know the children, and creating lots of happy memories together.

Dear Parents,
It was lovely to meet you all during our parent-teacher meetings on Friday and today. We are really looking forward to welcoming the children into class tomorrow and beginning the year together.
We have some fun activities planned for our first week and would really appreciate your help with the following:
Family Photo: The children will be talking about their families and drawing a family portrait. Please send in a family photo that includes your child. We will frame the photos and display them in our classroom.
Summer News: On Friday, the children will take part in our Summer News activity and share some special memories from their summer holidays. Please share a few summer holiday photos in the group chat before then.

第一第二周，学校贴心的给小朋友们安排了适应周，有有趣的活动和适量的课程，让小朋友尽快的适应中班课程。
我们的入学时间是8:30—9:00。
放学时间：
校门口的：15:48-15:50
地下车库：15:58-16:00
如果家长接宝贝晚了，不要着急，老师会看护好宝贝，一定注意安全
亲爱的家长朋友们，大家好！
开学首日，小朋友们表现棒棒哒，表现出很好的适应力。有很好的集体常规意识。
上午九点，我们开启了趣味英语课堂，小朋友能很好的投入，积极互动。
今天的中文活动，我们开展了《找朋友》趣味游戏，帮助孩子们结识同伴、拓展朋友圈。
✨儿歌：找一个朋友，点点头；找一个朋友，握握手；找一个朋友，碰碰拳；找一个朋友，抱一抱。
✨同时，我们重点学习了园内安全小知识，着重练习排队、上下楼梯的规则。
我们做了趣味小实验：把6个绒球装进瓶子里，如果不排队，小球就无法顺利从瓶口出来；只有有序排队，小球才能快速走出。借助这个小实验，孩子们直观懂得排队的意义，排队不仅是规则，也能锻炼孩子的专注力。
我们还一起创编了上下楼梯安全儿歌：
✨上下楼梯靠右走，小手扶好小扶手，
小眼睛看前面，小耳朵听老师，
一步一步往前走。
✨另外，我们和宝贝们达成了小约定：入园尽量穿着方便活动的服饰。
一日之中我们安排了上午、下午两场户外运动，孩子们亲身体会到，穿裙子、长裙会影响运动，上下楼梯也存在安全隐患。宝贝们十分聪慧，都理解并愿意选择便于活动的衣服与运动鞋。幼儿园备用鞋，也建议准备刷洗干净的运动鞋。

🌟 Our First Day in Reception E! 🌟
What a fantastic first day we have had together! It was wonderful to welcome all of the children into Reception E and begin our new journey together. 💛
🏫 Welcome to Reception E
This morning, we spent some time getting to know our new classroom and talking about the rules and expectations we have in Reception. The children were very receptive and had some wonderful ideas about what we can do to be good students, kind friends, and responsible members of our class. 😊👏
We also talked about some of the ways Reception is different from Nursery and how, now that we are getting bigger, we can begin to show even more independence and responsibility throughout our school day. The children were very excited about becoming Reception students! 🌟
🔤 Our First Phonics Lesson
We then had our very first phonics lesson of Reception! We began with a big review of the alphabet, singing the Alphabet Song together before working our way through each letter. 🎵🔡
Rather than only saying the letter names, we practised remembering the sound each letter makes and challenged ourselves to think of words beginning with those sounds. The children had lots of ideas and it was a great opportunity for us to see what everybody could already remember. 🗣💭
We then read Dad Can Nap 📖. This story is filled with simple CVC words, making it a lovely way to refresh the children’s blending skills. We practised putting sounds together to read words and began reminding ourselves of the important phonics skills we will continue developing throughout Reception. ✏📚
👨👩👧👦 English – Our Class is a Family
This afternoon, we read the lovely story Our Class is a Family. ❤ We talked about how Reception E is a little bit like our own LUC family. Teacher Sean and Teacher Betty are our class Mum and Dad, Teacher Niki is our big sister, and Teacher Pan is our aunty! 🏡💕
We discussed how important it is to be kind and caring towards our family and friends and shared ideas about the different ways we can show kindness to one another in our classroom. 🤝😊
Finally, we began creating a giant Reception E puzzle! 🎨 Each child decorated their own individual puzzle piece, which we will bring together this week to create one complete picture. We talked about how our class works in exactly the same way: every child is an important piece of Reception E, and we need every piece to make our class complete. 💛
The children were incredibly proud of their work, and we can’t wait to see our finished puzzle come together!
It has been a fantastic first day in Reception E, and we are so excited for the year ahead. 🌈✨ We can’t wait to welcome everyone back tomorrow for another day of learning, friendship and fun!

Good afternoon,
Eli had a really enjoyable first day in Reception E. He particularly enjoyed playing in the classroom with Elon and Aron and was already beginning to build friendships through their play together. Eli also worked very hard on his puzzle piece for our class puzzle and showed some great thinking during our phonics lesson, giving some very good answers when we discussed words beginning with different sounds. He ate well at lunchtime and slept well during nap time. Eli balanced learning and play very nicely today and seemed increasingly comfortable as the day went on. He has made a great start, and I am looking forward to seeing him continue to settle into the class! 🌹
