Hello everyone, In today’s PBL lesson, the children continued to learn about ocean food chains. They made their own cut and paste ocean food chain by selecting three ocean creatures and placing them in the correct sequence of the chain. In phonics, the children reviewed the digraph ‘qu.’ They used the sound to segment and blend a number of CVC words. Additionally, they matched words containing the digraph to picture cards and practiced reading simple phrases containing high-frequency words. In PE class, the children practiced their basketball skills by bouncing and catching the ball in a number of drills developed to build balance, coordination and ball-handling skills.  In Chinese class, the children learned about the traditional customs associated with the Qing Ming Festival. They learned about the color and smell of mugwort and made some hand-rolled snacks. Please find the optional homework in the children’s schoolbags. ***Please be reminded that End of Year dance rehearsals begin at 9:00 each day. Please arrive on time. **** Enjoy the extended weekend. We’ll resume classes on Tuesday. 今天的中文课上，我们一起感受了春天。孩子们从教室里的两只蝴蝶从茧房子里出来的故事开始，聊到了踏青和赏花，还亲手制作了青团。一早孩子们就先洗艾草，用捣、捻、剪等各种办法把艾草变成汁水和泥，再和到面团里，一边做一边闻着淡淡的草香。揉、搓、捏的过程中，有的孩子把艾草叶子直接揉进了青团，有的把菜花“种”在青团上，像是把整个春天捧在了手心里。需要特别说明的是，今天做的青团虽然用的都是可以食用的原料，但请大家不要食用。我们更希望孩子们通过触摸、闻味和塑形，记住这个时节的味道和颜色。 Daily Menu Moments

Hello everyone, In today’s PBL lesson, the children continued to learn about the ocean food chain. They listened to the story “I’m the Biggest Thing in the Ocean” and identified the sequence of ocean creatures eaten by a huge whale. In phonics, the children reviewed the high-frequency words that they’ve been taught and were introduced to a new word, “be.” The learned and gave examples of sentences containing the word, identified the word from within a cluster of other, similar looking words and made a sentence regarding their future ambitions such as, “I want to be a firefighter.’  In Chinese class, the children began to learn about logical sequencing. They identified the steps of a process and what comes before or after any given step. The example of a frog lifecycle was used to illustrate how the frog is born from an egg into a tadpole, changes into a froglet before becoming an adult frog.  ******Please note, we are now practicing our dance routine for the End of Year show. We have limited time to practice each day. Therefore, the morning circle time has been replaced with dance practice. Please ensure your children arrive before 9:00 each morning to participate. Many thanks.****** 今天中文数学课围绕“事情发展的先后顺序”展开，通过游戏感知、生活分享等环节，帮助孩子们建立初步的逻辑思维。首先，老师以情景游戏导入，邀请幼儿按照“先站起来、然后拍手、接着跺脚，最后坐下”等指令依次完成动作，让孩子们在身体律动中直观感受“首先…然后…最后…”的顺序关系。接着老师出示气球实物，引导孩子们观察从“瘪气球”到“大气球”的变化过程，共同推理出中间“吹气球”的步骤，并用语言反复强化顺序概念。在此基础上，我们还结合种子生长、毛毛虫变蝴蝶等常见事例，进一步帮助孩子们对事物发展顺序的理解。最后是分享环节，孩子们踊跃发言，用完整的顺序句式讲述自己熟悉的生活场景。有的孩子描述洗手的步骤：首先将手淋湿，然后按压洗手液，接着搓洗双手，最后冲洗干净；有的孩子分享午睡前后的流程；还有的孩子讲述了从起床到上学的整个过程。通过将抽象的顺序概念与真实生活经验相结合，孩子们不仅锻炼了观察力和语言表达能力，也对顺序有了更进一步的理解。 Daily Menu Moments

今日中文数学课围绕“时间段排序”展开，孩子们通过观察在校一日生活的图片与对应的时间段标识，初步感知了早上、中午、下午、晚上四个时间段的先后顺序。课堂上，孩子们能结合自身经验，用“早上我刷牙\上学”“上午上科学课\户外玩\x学英语”等 “下午午睡\上中文课、课后班”等“晚上我看电视\爸爸讲故事给我听”等简单语言，清晰地讲述不同时间段里通常会做的事情。在操作环节，大家尝试将代表各生活场景的图片按从早到晚的顺序排列，所有孩子能较准确地将图片与对应时间段匹配并有序摆放。整体来说孩子们已初步建立了一天时间流转的概念。家长朋友们下午好~今天艺术课上，孩子们继续完成上周的立体小鸟作品，本节课的重点是给小鸟涂色。大家先仔细观察自己粘好的小鸟身体、翅膀、嘴巴和爪子，然后挑选喜欢的颜色，一笔一笔地涂上去。有的孩子用黄色涂满圆鼓鼓的身体，再用红色涂三角形的嘴巴；有的孩子选择蓝色和绿色搭配，让小鸟看起来更鲜艳；还有的孩子在小鸟身体上画了斑点或条纹，让每只小鸟都不一样。涂色过程中，孩子们需要控制笔的方向，小心地沿着纸片的边缘涂，避免颜色混到一起。大家都很专注，完成涂色后，原本白白的立体小鸟变得色彩丰富、活灵活现。孩子们在涂色过程种不仅锻炼了手部控制能力，也感受到了颜色让作品变得更完整、更好看的乐趣。中文课我们学习了寓言故事《画蛇添足》。课堂上，孩子们先观察蛇玩偶，确认“蛇没有脚”，随后带着“给蛇画脚会发生什么”的好奇心听老师讲述故事。大家被有趣的情节吸引，明白了那个人因为多此一举而输掉酒的道理。在理解故事的基础上，孩子们尝试将打乱顺序的故事图片按“先画完蛇—添脚—被抢走酒”的顺序重新排列，并用简单的语言讲述每个画面。最热闹的是角色扮演环节，扮演画蛇人的孩子得意地说“我再给它画几只脚”，扮演抢酒人的孩子大声喊“蛇没有脚”，围观的孩子也跟着笑起来。通过表演和讨论，孩子们不仅初步理解了画蛇添足的意思，还认识了汉字“画、足”。整节课孩子们听得认真、说得热闹、演得开心，在笑声中记住了这个有趣的成语故事。 Daily Menu Moments

Hello everyone, In this morning’s PBL lesson, the children listened to a reading of two books. The first book was a non-fiction book, simply entitled Fish. The second book was the fictional tale The Rainbow Fish. The children learned about the characteristics of fish including their birth from eggs, their skeletons, their shapes and sizes and how they gather food from the first book. In the second book, they learned about sharing. The children compared and contrasted the books through discussions, concluding by telling what makes a fictional tale. In phonics, the children concluded the week with a fun science experiment to experience the word ‘fizz.’ The children added coloured vinegar with water droppers to a base of baking powder and observed the resulting fizzing reaction. In PE class, the children continued with their basketball related theme and practiced jumping, rolling a ball, throwing and catching, strengthening ball-handling abilities and special awareness.  In Chinese class, the children developed an awareness of marine conservation learned several methods of protecting the ocean environment.   Please find this week’s optional homework in the children’s school bags. 今天我们和小朋友们一起进行了一场有趣的“海洋捉迷藏”之旅。孩子们化身小探险家，认识了四位很会躲藏的海洋朋友：青蛙鱼会一动不动地藏在珊瑚旁边，还用头上的“小钓竿”吸引食物；比目鱼小时候会把眼睛慢慢移到同一侧，好让自己躺在沙子里看得更清楚；拟态章鱼像个魔术师，能变颜色还能模仿其他动物；石头鱼则把自己变得和周围的石头一模一样，如果不小心，还真发现不了它。整节课孩子们都特别投入，角色扮演“青蛙鱼钓鱼”、体验“比目鱼单眼视角”、模仿“拟态章鱼变身”以及“寻找石头鱼”等互动游戏，让孩子们在玩乐中直观感受了每种生物独特的伪装本领，课堂气氛轻松活跃，孩子们的好奇心和观察力 Daily Menu Moments
