Hello everyone,

In today’s PBL lesson, the children retold the story The Hungry Caterpillar. Using sequencing cards, they rebuilt each step of the story from egg to butterfly whilst answer questions about the pictures displayed on each card. Additionally, the children played an insect guessing game. They listened to the features of an insect including body part, abilities and colour to guess a number of common insects.

In phonics, the children practiced blending by observing a picture of a CVC word such as bus, bag, jam, etc and spelled the word out using letter cards. They also practiced tracing and printing words using small white boards.

In PE class, the children continued to play tennis games. They used a tennis racket to stop, push and strike a moving ball. This helped the children to build balance, hand-eye coordination, and confidence with sports equipment.

Please find this week’s optional homework in the children’s school bags.

Lastly, we bid farewell to Chris today. It was his last day before beginning a new adventure in Hong Kong. Chris celebrated his final day by presenting his classmates with gifts and recalling his memories of Nursery B. Please ensure to thank Chris for the gifts and join us in wishing him the very best for the future.
