Hello everyone,
In today’s phonics lesson, the children learned the digraph ar. They identified the digraph from within a cluster of other digraphs, learned vocabulary containing it and used its sound to blend unfamiliar words such as car, jar, dark and shark.
In today’s STEM lesson, the children begin a small construction theme. They used colored corn blocks and water to build a construction of their own choice.
Today’s PBL lesson was replaced with a number of games for the entire Nursery group to celebrate Children’s Day. They enjoyed a special magic show, played outside with bubbles, had an inter-class game of tug-of-war and finished the day with a small dance party.
We also celebrated Clara’s birthday. Please join us in wishing her a very happy 4th birthday. She brought in a pinata. The class had a lot of fun trying to break it open for the treats that were hidden inside it.
