Hello everyone,
Following this morning’s circle time calendar activities and outdoor learning, the children continued to learn about animal families.
First, the children observed and discussed a short PowerPoint presentation that displayed a variety of animals and their young. Then, they carried out a cut and paste activity – matching up animal babies to their mothers. Finally, the children revisited the small-world model animals to make their own animal families again.
In phonics, the children reviewed the sounds and vocabulary they’ve learned so far along with the blending words associated to each letter. They listened to the story Detective Dog & the Disappearing Donut and completed their lowercase d for dinosaur craft.
In PE, the children continued to practice a number of football related drills and exercises focused on balance and ball control.
In Chinese class, the children reviewed their learning about rooms of a house and each room’s function. The classroom was made into a home for the children and they role-played typical activities that take place in each room.
Please remember to bring in a small pumpkin on Monday or Tuesday next week. Many thanks in advance.**
