Hello everyone,
Following this morning’s circle time calendar activities and outdoor learning, the children continued learning about families.
The children reviewed the names of family members using a pairs matching game and several songs that they’ve been learning recently. Additionally, we talked about the preferences of family members. The children were given choices such as chocolate or pizza and indicated which they liked and formed the sentence, “I like…..”. Then, they were asked about the preferences of their mothers and fathers. Volunteer children came forward and formed sentence such as, “My daddy likes pizza,” on the microphone.
In phonics, the children completed their letter M crafts and continued their blending practice, forming words including man, mat and map.
In PE class, the children carried out a number of gross-motor exercises in the form of football related drills and exercises, focusing on balance and ball control.
In Chinese class, the children reviewed yesterday’s learning regarding sounds that can be heard in the home. They listened to a story, Speaking Nicely and discussed the ways in which we can solve problems through appropriate, friendly communication.
