Hello everyone,
Following this morning’s circle time calendar activities and outdoor learning time, the children learned about the diversity of families.
The children learned how some families are large, whilst others are small and that some families contain members that other families don’t. have. The children used matching cards to create a number of families and created a craft depicting what different members of a family like.
In phonics, the children learned to blend the words man, map, and mat. Some of the children used magnetic letters. To construct these CVC words whilst other made a M for mouse craft. This activity will be continued tomorrow.
In Chinese mathematics, the children continued to learn about neighboring numbers or “one more, one less.’ The children played a f simple games in which they had to identify a number and which numbers sit beside it within a number line.
