Hello everyone,
Following this morning’s circle time calendar activities, the children reviewed their phonics learning.
Each sound along with their associated vocabulary words were reviewed. The children used the sounds they’ve learned so far to blend simple CVC words. They also reviewed high frequency words and tried to use them in a sentence.
Following indoor play, the children reviewed numbers and counting to 15. After watching a small presentation about the formation of 15, the children constructed a tower of 15 blocks independently before going into continuous provision.
In Chinese class, the children listened to a story called The Stone Soup that describes how to deal with a range of emotions. The children then reviewed the information they had provided to accompany their craft houses.
