Hello everyone,
Following this morning’s circle time calendar activities and outdoor learning time, the children again reviewed their learning about families.
We started off by singing along to some familiar songs about families. The children listened to the story The Family Book then we had a brief look at families from around the world, where they live, what they eat and what their daily life looks like. Finally, the children presented their family photos by introducing each member included on the photo and talking about some of their preferences.
In phonics, the children blended the sounds they’ve learned to form simple CVC words using a cut and paste exercise. They formed the words dog, got and pot.
Friday’s PE class took place today. The children continued to refine the football related skills they’ve been learning including balance and ball control.
In Chinese class, the children reinforced their knowledge of numbers and which number is one more or less than any given number. To consolidate this concept, the children used their craft houses to play a guessing game of what could be found at each house.
