Hello everyone,
Today, as part of our PBL theme – Our City, the children learned all about our school. They were introduced to places around the school including office areas, the nursing station, indoor playgrounds etc. We also met a number of people who work within the school in various positions and learned how these staff members help us.
In STEM class, the children continued to learn about animal habitats. This week, they focused on desert animals. The children learned the names of several desert animals and selected their favorite animal toys to play with in a sand box.
In phonics, the children learned the digraph ck. The children identified this digraph from within a cluster of other digraphs, learned words containing the digraph and practiced blending some simple words.
In Chinese class, the children reviewed basic 2D shapes and identified shapes that had been used to create pictures or contained within patterns.
