Hello everyone,
In today’s PBL lesson, the children created their own story by determining who the characters were, where the setting takes place and the details of the story by selecting pictures and sequencing the events step by step. We will produce the book and a front cover for this next week.
In phonics, the children used an interactive word machine to create simple CVC words and read an interactive story in which each word can be segmented and blend.
In PE class, the children continued to practice movement skills such as running, jumping and squatting as well as ball control skills including throwing and two-handed catching.
In Chinese class, the children continued to learn about the Lunar Festival and the Year of the Horse. They learned about the characteristics of a horse such as head, body, tail and legs before creating and decorating their own craft horses made from paper shapes, stickers and yarn.
As you may have seen, next Friday will be our 100 Days of School celebration. Please have your children wear their school uniforms on this day.
在今天的中文课上，孩子们首先通过童谣复习十二生肖的故事，巩固了生肖的顺序，并更深地了解到即将到来的农历新年是马年。接着，课课堂来到了动手操作技能的环节，孩子们选择通过两项手工中的一项来提升精细动作与手眼协调能力：1，“十二生肖拼图”，孩子们需辨识并剪下与图片中特定形状空白处相匹配的图形，进行准确配对与粘贴，确保生肖图案完整衔接；2，“装饰生肖马”，孩子们自由选择各色雪梨纸，运用剪刀和胶棒为马的形象创作出五彩斑斓的装饰图案。今天的中文课将传统文化认知与手工技能相结合，引导幼儿在动手实践中加深对生肖文化的理解，同时锻炼其使用工具的能力和小肌肉群的发展。
