In today’s PBL lesson, the children listened to the story The Little Red Hen again. This time, recreating parts of the story including plantings seeds, harvesting corn, mixing flour, rolling dough and making bread. Carrying out these small tasks makes the story come to life and helps the children remember the key events of the tale.
In phonics, the children reviewed the letter ‘Ll’ by creating their own lollipops using playdough and lollipop sticks..
In Chinese class, the children learned to compare and contracts sets of quantities using toy dinosaurs They identified which set has more or less than another set or whether a set has an equal quantity to another.

在今日的中文数学课上,我们借助恐龙去公园的趣味情境,引导孩子们初步感知了数量守恒的数学概念。通过恐龙队伍分开、变换形状、分坐不同颜色垫子等情景,孩子们在故事中逐步体会到:无论物体的排列方式、位置分布或外部特征如何变化,只要没有增加或减少,它们的总数始终保持不变。在操作环节中,孩子们通过亲手排列珠子或小动物,进一步巩固了这一认知。他们在移动、重组材料的过程中发现,无论摆成一条线、一个圈,或是分成不同颜色的小组,数一数总数依然相同。孩子们在动手与观察中,自然而然地建立起对数量不变的直观理解。
