Hello everyone,
In this morning’s Exploration Week lesson, the children took on the role of archeologists to find ancient Chinese treasures They entered into a cave and dug through sand to find what lay beneath. Once the children found an item, they used brushes to clean it up and identify what it was. They also explored ancient Chinese instruments and small religious artefacts.
In art class, the children made a craft based upon ancient Chinese architecture using a small frame, playdough and colored paper.
In the afternoon, the children listened to the story Hand, Hand, Finger, Thumb. In which the children used body parts to mimic the actions from the book such as tapping or beating a drum.
