NR2 – Today in English Reinforcement, the children reviewed talking about their favorite animals using the sentence patterns, “My favorite animal is the…” and “It has…” Then we added the new sentence pattern “I saw it….” added with prepositional phrases such as “…at the zoo.” The students had a fun time sharing with their classmates and showed confidence in speaking clearly and using complete sentences to describe their thoughts and feelings.
We also reviewed our high-frequency words through a fun and interactive game, helping the children strengthen their word recognition, reading fluency, and quick recall.
To finish the lesson, we read “Let’s Have Fun.” The children practiced blending sounds, recognizing familiar word patterns, and reading aloud with increasing confidence, accuracy, and expression.
