Hello everyone,
In today’s PBL lesson, the children continued to explore the depths of the ocean and what is down in the deep blue sea. Each child made their own mini sea bottle to take home. They added oil, water, food coloring, shells and a sea creature to their bottles and described what they could they were adding.
In phonics, the children reviewed the high-frequency words that they’ve been learning and tried reading some simple phrases. These phrases can be found in this week’s homework.
In PE, the children revisited the key movements that they’ve recently learned including running transitions, two-handed catching, flag pulling techniques and safety rule comprehension.
In Chinese class, the children practiced counting up to 20 objects by collecting shells and placing them into numeral labelled buckets. They additionally completed a counting and numeral writing activity sheet.

今天的数学课上，我们继续巩固20以内的数感，让孩子们通过动手操作，更好地理解数量与数字的对应关系。结合海洋主题，孩子们仿佛来到了沙滩，两人一组兴奋地“捡”起小桶里的贝壳，一边数一边互相帮助，最后找到正确的数字卡片贴在桶上，交给老师验证。这个过程既锻炼了他们的点数能力，也增强了合作意识。随后，孩子们还独立完成了20以内的点数并贴上数字的纸上作业，进一步巩固了所学内容。整节课孩子们都投入其中，在游戏中轻松学习，数感也在不知不觉中得到了提升。
