Hello everyone,
During this morning’s PBL lesson, we took another look at how Shanghai has developed over the years. We watched a short video that placed Shanghai’s new cityscape onto old photos of Shanghai’s past. We then discussed old and new items. The children who brought in items to display told the class about their items and classified them as old or new objects. Finally, we reread the LUC story My City and identified the new and old locations such as Yu Garden and the Shanghai Tower.

In phonics, the children reviewed this week’s CVC blending words, practiced tracing the words and matched the words to simple pictures.
In Chinese class, the children recreated the Bund’s historical skyline as a large group, using construction blocks.
