Hello everyone,
As you are aware, we took our autumn trip to Century Park this morning. What a beautiful day it was for playing in the sunshine.
Once we arrived, the children enjoyed their morning snack and danced around a little with scarves. Then, we took a walk through the trees and collected leaves, grass, flowers and twigs to stick onto a large roll of sticky paper. This will be displayed in the classroom at a later date.
After the leaf collection, we walked to another area to use our gardening tools to dig and explore the undergrowth. The morning also included a few, short, fun runs, trolley cart riding and more fun activities. Everyone had a great time.
In the afternoon, the children undertook self-led learning by exploring and engaging with the equipment and materials within the classroom. Other children were called on to complete individual art projects or unfinished work.
