Hello everyone,
In today’s PBL lesson, we reread the LUC book My City. Following the story, the children were shown a short video displaying how Shanghai has changed since the 1930’s. The children were shown a selection of pictures displaying old and new items such as phones, bicycles, watches and TVs etc. The children were each given a separate picture of things such as cars, boats and trains and had to categorize the picture as being an old or new form of transport.
****Please don’t forget to search your house for something old or new to display on Friday’s Show & Tell. *****
In STEM class, the children learned about the jungle and the animals that inhabit it. The children selected their favorite jungle anima and played with it in a jungle themed sensory tray.
In phonics, the children learned the letter Ee. They identified the letter in upper and lowercase, learned vocabulary beginning with the letter and practiced blending unfamiliar words using the new sound.
In Chinese class, the children carried out a sorting activity where they observed the characteristics of an object and identified whether it is the same or different to another object’s characteristics.
