Hello everyone,
Today we had a visit from the local fire department. During their visit, we carried out our fire evacuation procedure. Once all the children had gathered at their fire assembly point, the firefighters gave us a demonstration including how they put on their firefighting equipment, using a fire hose and finally a tour of the fire engine.
Following the fire drill, the children learned about common places in a city including supermarkets, schools, hairdressers, police stations, hospitals and the people who work in these places. The children were able to explore some of these jobs through roleplay.
In Chinese class, the children continued to learn about 2D shapes and how to identify specific shapes contained within a picture. They also attempted to create their own pictures using a variety of shapes.
