Hello everyone,
Following today’s circle time calendar activities and outdoor the learning, the children continued to learn about families.
We reviewed the members of a family using the question “Who is this?” and the reply, “This is my mother/father” etc. We had another look at how a family tree is formed and the children continued to complete their own family tree activities as well as completing family related colouring sheets, family related cutting exercises and playing a family matching card game.
In phonics, the children reviewed the letters Tt and Pp. They matched some vocabulary to their beginning sounds and completed the next page in their phonics workbook. Please feel free to review this at home using the phonics book provided.
In Chinese class, the children listened to the story My Dad. Then they discussed the things a father does and how some dads can make you laugh. The children learned the Chinese characters for dad and laugh.
